Howgills Barn also offers a fantastic venue for a Christmas party and our price of £435 per night (midweek), includes accommodation for up to 35 people. Enjoy a glass of wine, meal & entertainment and you don’t have to worry about the drive home! Christmas can be a busy and stressful time, sit back and relax whilst we do all of the organisation for you! For Business Away Days, Howgills Barn offers private meeting facilities for up to 40 people and there are different options for the day including holding a day meeting, a party or a residential trip spending the night(s). There is a large comfortable lounge to socialise or conduct team activities and there is a rustic lecture theatre where you can hold your presentations. Not forgetting, the miles of open space, breathtaking views and numerous walks and hikes from the doorstep. As the Barn is set up a winding lane you have the added benefit of lots of privacy. It’s a short walk in to the beautiful town of Sedbergh, which offers independent cafes, shops and pubs.
The grounds around the Barn lend themselves perfectly to country pursuits and team-building activities, and we work with partners to provide exciting events for your business, which we can tailor to your training/business requirements such as bush craft, orienteering, clay pigeon shooting, archery and water sport activities on the nearby Killington Lake. For Business Away Days, Howgills Barn also sleeps up to 35 guests, so kick back and enjoy an evening meal and a few drinks with your team! If this wasn’t tempting enough there is also the hot tub on the patio (optional extra), to help ease any of those work stresses.
It’s easy to get to, with junction 37 of the M6 being 15 minutes away, and free parking for over 20 cars. All this makes it a great meeting place for teams across the North of England.
We have an in-house management team who can recommend/organise suppliers of temporary structures, indoor/outdoor catering such as hog roasts, curry nights, barbecues and dressing and draping companies.
