Getting to Sedbergh by car
Sedbergh is approximately a 15 minute drive from junction 37 off the M6. Once off the M6 turn right to Sedbergh.
How to find us – directions to Howgills Barn
Once in Sedbergh, go down the Main High Street. Turn left immediately on seeing Westwood Books building. You will see a small lane which will take you directly up to Howgills Barn. Please note that there are traffic lights at the bottom of the lane as the lane is only wide enough for one way traffic.
This narrow lane (fine for a car or small van) takes you all the 400 yards up to the Farmyard. Go through Farmyard and over the bridge to the Barn where there is lots of free parking available.

SAT NAV is LA10 5EA. Address is any number (7-12) Bainbridge Court, Sedbergh, Cumbria.
– Enter Sedbergh and next to the Dalesman Pub take the road to Howgill (Howgill Lane) for 150 yards.
– Turn right into Bainbridge road, 200 yards down the road you will see a stone building on your right called Howgills Apartments.
– Turn right next to the Howgills Apartments (called Bainbridge Court) then left into the car park.
– There is 1 space per property with 6 visitor spaces.
Getting to Sedbergh by train, bus or air
The closest train station to Sedbergh is ‘Oxenholme the Lake District’ which is in Kendal. From Kendal you can hire a taxi to Sedbergh (tel numbers below) which will cost approximately £25 – £30 (please check the price for your journey beforehand).
